As you probably could guess, Josh, much of this piece resonated. Constant movement, constant struggle. I think May (and much of the winter) has made me allergic to writing (I wish I were joking!). There's no better explanation...
Except I'm in Colorado where the sun refused to go away all winter and spring, so I've been begging the world for rainy days. If it was snowing here, I'd be begging for sun.
Thank you! Funny how that works. Also - I’m headed to Montana in June as part of a work trip with personal travel adventures added on after. Will be my first time there. Despite the gloomy cold, your writing always makes me excited to experience the state!

The late snows beat me to dust.
Like these thoughts were taken from my own brain!

I used to beg for cold! Enjoy your race!

Where to? Montana is unsurpassably beautiful. You will love it.
I can’t wait! I’ll be near the Flathead National Forest, then Missoula, and then over to Glacier
Great running trails in Missoula. Not as dramatic as this area, but quirky. Hopefully work takes you to the North Fork and to the Swan Valley.
That sounds great. I’ve got some days at the end to head wherever to hike/camp, so will gladly take your advice
